Helpful Tips

I have learned over the years, through trial and error what methods have worked for me and my animal companions.

Sometimes the “How-To” books are right on the money and other times, not so much. What works for one dog owner might not work for another, what one dog responds to, might mean nothing to another dog. It really is trial and error, when working with your particular animal companion, finding what works best for the team of owner and pet can be frustrating, but is well worth the time and effort.

I’ve read countless articles, the book “A New Owner’s Guide to Siberian Huskies”, and I have to say, having had three Huskies (Kodi being the only pure bred), some of what I’ve read seems to apply to all Huskies, but much of it does not, as evidenced by my own experiences.

There is no ultimate guide that encompasses all Huskies, or all dogs for that matter, this is why I believe it’s important for us, as owners, to share what we learn with one another.

My “Helpful Tips” page will reflect methods or products I’ve used that have been successful for me and my animal companions, it is not a guarantee that these tips will work for you, but certainly may offer another approach or option to explore.
